Last night Restore Community Church had its first "public" celebration event with our Community Christmas Celebration. All I can say was that God showed up big time.
Overall the service went amazingly well from the music, kids story, offering, video, teaching, glow sticks/bells and donuts. We gave out 150 dozen donuts to those who came and asked them to deliver them to someone in the community who was working as a thank you. We also took up an offering to give away. We gave half of the offering to under resourced families at Park Hill High School (where we met) and half to orphans in Haiti (thru C3 Missions). We had prayed for 150 people to come and God answered and 230 showed up.
I was so proud of our staff team and our launch team. It was an all hands on deck experience and everyone came to play from inviting friends, to coming early, to serving passionately, to staying late. God has indeed blessed Restore with an incredibly gifted group of people who love Jesus and want to change the world.
A special thanks goes out to our partner churches, Legacy Christian Church, Indian Creek Community Church, Cedar Ridge Christian Church, and Northland Mission Church for having groups of people join us for this event.
