Sunday Rocked!!!

Sunday morning was incredible.  We had our ReachoutKC team come over to the house for breakfast and for an intimate worship service.  Tommy Bowman did an awesome of leading the 14 of us in praise to God.  We all got a chance to share where God had showed up for us in the past week.  What amazing stories of provision..God is Good.   I read from Joshua the journey of the Israelites crossing the Jordan and how God was working way upstream.  And then Janet led us in prayer. We prayed for the people of Kansas City, especially those far from God.  We prayed for our potential launch team members and our first Launch Team meeting last night.  And then we prayed that God would give us the right words to say as leaders of this new adventure.  It was very humbling when our team gathered around me to pray for me and lay hands on me.  That was cool.

Last night we had our first ReachoutKC launch team informational meeting.  We sent out around 50 invites to people we had connected with here in the Northland thru relationships and this summers NACC.  We were blown away when 70 people RSVPd and then 76 people actually showed up.  Our hosts home was awesome and accomodated our overflowing crowd.  Here was our agenda

• We had some fun and food together. 
• Broke out into some small groups to meet each other.
• Introduced our phenomenal staff team.
• Shared the journey and vision of ReachoutKC.
• Laid out expectations for being on this Launch Team.
• Gave people a commitment card to pray about before our next meeting in October.
• Tommy led us in a reflective praise moment.
• Prayed and sent them home.

Can't wait till next month.  We have lots of follow up to do.

I would have loved to have been a part of this and would love to be able to come to the meetings to help with what ever and where ever the help is needed. Prais God for he is AWESOME!!!

WOW!!!! God really does want this ReachoutKC thing to work. You sent out 50 invites and 76 people were present, isn't that like 150% return. Only God can do that.
